Abstract The primary objective of this project is to develop the centerpiece technology for an integrated biorefinery concept based on catalytic fast pyrolysis, which is capable of producing both cost-competitive biofuels at greater than 75 gasoline gallon equivalent (GGE)/dry ton of biomass and high-value co-products, and can be market-responsive by controlling the product distribution to meet market demand.
